Garnish
- Lemon
- Maraschino Cherry

Directions
- Chill the glass
- Fill the glass with ice
- Add the vodka, blue curaçao, and lemonade
- Top up with Prosecco
- Stir gently to combine
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and maraschino cherry
History
The Sparkling Blue Lagoon Cocktail is a modern twist on the classic Blue Lagoon, which originated at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. The original cocktail, created by Andy MacElhone, featured vodka, Blue Curaçao, and lemonade, known for its striking blue colour and refreshing citrus taste. The sparkling version emerged as bartenders experimented with adding Prosecco, Champagne, or soda water to enhance the drink’s effervescence. This variation became popular at beach resorts and summer parties, offering a more elegant and bubbly take on the tropical classic.
