History
The Revolver cocktail is a modern classic that gained popularity in the early 2000s. It was created by Jon Santer, a renowned bartender from San Francisco. He created the cocktail as a twist on the Manhattan and wanted to highlight the bold flavours of bourbon with a touch of elegance. This cocktail features bourbon as the base spirit, complemented by coffee liqueur and orange bitters. The name "Revolver" is likely derived from the firearm as the drink was originally made with Bulleit Bourbon. One of its signature elements is the flamed orange twist garnish, which enhances the drink's aroma and adds a theatrical flair.
