History

The Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail emerged in the 1980s, around the time Malibu Coconut Rum gained popularity. This tropical drink became a favourite at beachside bars, thanks to its sweet, fruity, and refreshing profile. It’s often confused with the Sea Breeze and Bay Breeze, but the coconut rum sets it apart, giving it a smooth, creamy tropical twist. Its origins are linked to Caribbean cocktail culture, where coconut and fruit-based drinks were widely enjoyed. Over time, the Malibu Bay Breeze became a staple in summer gatherings, symbolizing relaxation and leisure.
