History
The Adios Motherf*er (AMF) cocktail is a bold, high-alcohol drink that emerged in the 1980s in the United States. It is a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea, swapping triple sec and cola for blue curaçao and lemon-lime soda, giving it a bright blue colour. The name "Adios Motherf***er" is vulgar which is typical of cocktails created in this era, and is said to reflect the drink’s potency, as it contains five different spirits, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and blue curaçao. Some bartenders also refer to it as the Blue Long Island or Walk Me Down. Don’t use premium spirits as any nuance will get lost in the mix.
